History Of Indus Valley

Indus Valley PU & Degree College is a Co-Educational residential institution in pursuit of academic excellence, owned and managed by Narayana Education Trust. An offspring of the renowned New Indus Valley Residential School, KR Puram, Bangalore. It strives in creating diverse, highly talented students who challenge each other to achieve their full potentials and still remain as one family. The ethos of the place is naturally conducive to the development of personal growth. We at Indus Valley PU & Degree College sincerely believe that education is the catalyst to the growth and development of any society. Our endeavour through the right mixture of academics, co-curricular activities, sports and overall discipline is to help students develop their many facets and strengths. Indus Valley Quality Policy (IVQP)

The Indus Valley Management is committed to provide quality oriented education to meet the requirement of the parents and aspirations of the students thereby ensuring safety of the students in the college premises. Our first and guiding principle is maintaining high standards of education and to meet and exceed the student-parent expectations. Our lecturers are highly qualified and experienced in the art of teaching methods who can make the student learning, quality oriented. Indus Valley PU & Degree College, Bangalore was established in the year 2015. INDUS VALLEY QUALITY POLICY (IVQP) of the College was established on 20th June 2017. The IVQP plans, guides and monitors Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the college.

We at Indus Valley believe in “Arise Awake & Stop not, till the Goal is Reached”, rightly said by Swami Vivekananda. Indus Valley is committed to provide quality education and inculcate ethical values in students to achieve higher standards in Academics through continuous evaluation and scope for improvement.

Academic Governing Council

Aims to involve the college community in governance of the college to strengthen and support learning. It has the joint responsibility with the Principal and members for setting key directions and reporting on strategic plan for the well-being of the college. The Governing Council is the central decision - making body of the college. The Governing Council meets twice in a year. The Governing Council comprises of the following members.

Students Grievance Cell

A genuine attempt to address student’s problems and complaints with individual attention is the maxim of the Students Grievance cell at Indus Valley College. A cordial student – teacher- parent relationship which ensures peaceful coexistence, is our vision thus ensuring the discipline, dignity and decorum of the college.

Anti Ragging Cell

Many innocent lives and careers have been shattered before its commencement due to the menace of Ragging .To tackle this grievance; an Anti Ragging cell is initiated. Any disorderly behavior or conduct by words, deed or action will not be tolerated and will be severely dealt with. A squad consisting of Member of the Management, Principal and teachers will immediately take required actions.

Anti Sexual Harassement Cell

As per the Supreme Court guidelines to provide basic rights against sexual harassment, an Anti Sexual Harassment Cell has been initiated at Indus Valley College for its staff and students. Its vision is to bring about a safe and congenial atmosphere, eliminating harassment of sexual nature regardless of gender. Speedy redressal of such issues is our mission.

Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell of the college ensures that all students are treated as equal and attempts to address deep-seated inequalities in our system. The cell, along with the staff promotes awareness on the life and vision of Equality. It also guides SC/ ST students too avail of all permissible scholarships and financial assistance.

The aim of Counselling cell is to provide comprehensive guidance programs and services that will equip students with necessary knowledge, attitude and skills to become mature and socially responsible individuals. It aims to promote a just and humane society.
